Fading Woman

Fading woman
Don't walk away
Don't walk away
Don't leave me now
Coz memory lane
Been dogging my days
Your love is like water
On arid ground
Those hills that we climbed
I vaulted the top and fell off
But don't think I won't
Run back up the path to your love
Fading woman
Don't walk away
Don't walk away
Don't leave me now
Coz memory lane
Been dogging my days
Your love is like water
On arid ground
From the blue to the green
You poetried me
And I'm not religious
But I am your devotee
By beer, smoke and wine
In the fiddler's night
Surrounded by players
But I just want to be by your side

Waiting in the Dark

Long since the bed of sweat
She's turned here eyes and
Won't look my way
No matter what I try
All my tears they are bulging from behind and
I won't cry because I've got to be a man
Beauty doesn't cut it
She's a real saviour soul and
I must be a devil
If she cannot take me whole
All my tears they are bulging from behind and
I won't cry because I've got to be a man
Longing, cold in the thick sheets of a bed
Waiting in the dark for her to turn her head
All my tears they are bulging from behind and
I won't cry because I've got to be a man
All my tears they are bulging from behind and
I won't cry because I've got to be a man

Naked Waters
03:10
|
|||
Your skin's like the sea
Waves shining beside me
The keel will go deep
And we'll sail while the sun sleeps
Take me to freedom while my bow rocks your lips
It may get stormy when the lightning starts to grip
When it is over and the last of the waves have hit
We'll watch the warm sun rising
In the red, reckless morning first
We'll wash our hands in the warm soft waters
I'll dab salty fingers on my tongue
And we'll sail while your waves crash on my rungs
Take me to freedom while my bow rocks your lips
It may get stormy when the lightning starts to grip
When it is over and the last of the waves have hit
We'll watch the red sun dying
Take me to freedom while my bow rocks your lips
It may get stormy when the lightning starts to grip
When it is over and the last of the waves have hit
We'll hear the dead sun crying

Black Fire
03:19

Sometimes I feel like
There's no one around
Sometimes I feel like
I'm going down
Sometimes I feel like
A ship on sand
Sometimes I feel like
A painter without his hands
Although they say that it's okay and I must wait my time
I get the burn, it makes me turn into a raging fire
Then my empty hands just cry
And the devil calls my name
Sometimes I feel like
There's no one around
Sometimes I feel like
I'm going down
Sometimes I feel like
A ship on sand
Sometimes I feel like
A painter without his hands
I don't want to break the things that make me get up and try
But sometimes I want to run and jump and see if I can fly
And when I am falling from the sky
Then the devil calls my name
It's like the devil knows when I've lost my will to fight
He'll creep up behind when he knows that there's a lack of light
And he'll wrap black around my eyes
Then the devil calls my name

White Doves
03:04
|
|||
Billy's down on his knees and he's begging for mercy
From God or a gun
The bright blood on the trees flashes violently
In the October sun
The proud glitter of youth in his eyes
Sent out to fight on a lie
So he picked upa needle
No white doves flew over the fire
Mary woke up in sheets at the age of thirty three
By a drunk and a dog
She walked with bare feet, fighting on the street
Never heard of love
The small change it felt so unkind
When the kicked her it seemed more polite
So she swigged on a bottle
No white doves flew over the fire
There's plenty around who need your kind of love
Fate can't have been looking when she made me lucky enough
Thought I had fallen to many times
Been messing up most of my life
But you threw your arms round me
And white doves flew over the fire
